RN Trauma Coordinator

Texas Health, Arlington

Texas Health Resources is seeking to hire a Registered Nurse Trauma Coordinator for our Trauma Administration department.
The location is Texas Health Arlington Memoria 800 West Randol Mill Road Arlington TX 76012.
Salary range is $26.50/hour – Max $50.82/hour – based on relevant experience.
Work Schedule
• Full Time – 40/hours per week – Monday – Friday

The Registered Nurse Trauma Coordinator provides leadership and vision for the trauma program(s) in terms of operations, services and patient care, consistent with best practices and evidence based care.

The essential job functions for this position are:
• Leads and directs achievement in the provision of quality care to the identified patient population, working with appropriate staff and physicians.
• Analyzes data and coordinates implementation of practice changes as needed.
• Develops and maintains collaborative partnerships with physicians, staff and peers to support the implementation, and ongoing evaluation of care delivery.
• Coordinates and facilitates provision of educational opportunities for staff, physicians, patients, external providers of care, and the community.
• Identifies relevant areas, initiates projects and participates on performance improvement teams.
• Leads and facilitates involvement of the staff nurses to insure compliance of core measures for patients.
• Collaborates with administration and managers to facilitate dissemination of information regarding core measures to the front line staff.
• Provides leadership and vision for the ED Throughput and Global Measures Program in terms of operations, services and patient care, consistent with best practices and evidence based care.
• Demonstrates involvement in Process Improvement committees to facilitate collaborative and coordinated care of the patient.
• Facilitates focus groups based on core measure compliance.
• Advances designated KPIs and other initiatives through multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop and manage project plans that reflect evidence based practices and lead project teams to accomplish defined goals or improved outcomes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
• Associate’s Degree required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 5 Years Med/Surg or Critical Care experience required.
• 5 Years Critical Care strongly preferred.
• Registered Nurse – Registered Nurse required or Clinical Licensure upon hire require.
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 60 days.

Skills
• Effective leadership and interpersonal skills; verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Advanced knowledge of current professional and health care issues and nursing practice.
• Experience in project management.
• Computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
